Community + at City Church Sheffield

The needs of a city like Sheffield are great. We are doing our small bit to connect in and help different people, situations and communities across Sheffield.

Welcome Boxes

Welcome Boxes

We have refugees and asylum seekers arriving in Sheffield every week. We give a warm welcome to as many as we can, providing a Welcome Box full of practical gifts, and offering to support them as they settle into this new city, country and culture. For more information or to get in touch click here.

Welcome Support Group

Welcome Support Group

This group is for women who are asylum seekers or refugees. It meets 10-11.30 each Wednesday morning during term time. There is opportunity to build friendships and have fun in a safe environment. It also supports attendees going through the asylum process and building a life in the UK. For more information or to get in touch click here.

Food & Stories

Food & Stories

This group is a place of friendship and community; a place to join together on the faith journeys of those who attend. The group is aimed at men from nations outside of the UK including asylum seekers and refugees. It meets on a Monday evening in a variety of locations to eat and share stories. Warm Space

The Jubilee Centre is opened up most Fridays for free refreshments, activities and lunch. It is a warm space where everyone is welcome. Table tennis and snooker are on offer, along with less energetic activities like jigsaws, and just having a natter. A quiet office working space is also available. For more information or to get in touch click here.
